AIR FREIGHT

Time is of the essence; perishables must reach their destination as soon as possible. Equally important is the link in the cold chain, logistics and temperature-controlled storage. Many factors can come in that can threaten the viability or shelf life of the product; weather, delays in transport, human factors. All of these mean that the ability to store these products at the critical temperature necessary for their preservation becomes all important.

Verticold offers easily implemented storage solutions to help protect the product as it makes its way to its destination. Go to our Products page here for more information.

PHARMA

The Chiller’s Tower modular design, easy integration and efficient storage of temperature-controlled goods brings a welcome solution to the difficulties of protecting your valuable goods through the entire transportation and storage cycle right to the point that it is shipped to the final destination.

Look to Verticold’s Chiller Tower expertise to help design a solution that will reduce losses and facilitate the easy movement of perishable goods. Our engineers are experienced in every aspect, and will provide you a turn key answer with exactly the modular storage facility needed.

GROCERY / FOOD

The cold chain is responsible for the preservation and transportation of perishable foods in the proper temperature range to slow biological decay processes and deliver safe and high-quality foods to consumers. Studies show that the efficiency of the cold chain is often less than ideal, as temperature abuses above or below the optimal product-specific temperature range occur frequently, a situation that significantly increases food waste and endangers food safety. A HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) strategy needs to be broadly implemented within the food industry to manage the cold chain and ensure food safety. Nevertheless, it is a significant challenge to maintain the temperature of perishable food in the desired range at all steps of the cold chain.

CART TO CONSUMER

A more direct way to fulfill e-commerce orders; reduce manual touching of the goods using our special Vantage carts.

1. Picking the e-commerce order on the supermarket floor.

2. The Vantage carts are stored in the chiller tower until shipping time.

3. The carts are now rolled directly onto the delivery van and strapped in with our safeload systems.

4. Safely secured to the delivery truck, the goods are now transported to the consumer.

The cart to truck concept is a breakthrough in efficiency. Only touch the product once; when it is picked. Save on time, labour, and reduce the risk of spoilage and damage.

The Chiller Tower can be set up easily for the Cart to Consumer configuration; you can easily switch back and forth from carts to pallets or boxes. Or even have a split configuration with different areas for different applications.

Storage of crates, boxed goods and unit articles

For storage of a wide variety of crates and boxed goods, the Chiller Tower is ideal. The shelf levels can be quickly configured as your needs and box sizes change. The upper levels may be used for pallet storage, if desired. Some or all of the levels may be set up with carton flow conveyors for easy access to goods at the rear.

CHOOSE BY TEMPERATURE

MAINTAIN YOUR CRITICAL TEMPERATURE TO
PRESERVE YOUR COLD CHAIN INTEGRITY

Four potential temperature abuses:

1. The temperature has risen above the product’s
storage temperature specifications.

2. The temperature has fallen below the product’s storage temperature specifications.

3 and 4. The temperature has again risen above the storage specifications.
